Antioch Supports Our Troops

Tony and his division saying thanks.

Well Wishes Travel Across The Globe

The fifth grade classes at Antioch Elementary made a combined effort to send care packages to soldiers in Iraq. Mrs. Ries, one of the fifth grade teachers, contacted Mr. Tony Deese of the U.S. Army Maintenance Division, via email, to extend well wishes and send care packages full of treats.

The fifth graders, realizing what these honorable men are doing for our country, wanted to say thanks in their own way by sending these cards and treats across the globe. In an email back from the troops, all the items received were most appreciated. Per Tony, “the guys ‘specially loved the candy!”

The division Tony Deese is a part of was scheduled for departure back to the United States within the next few months.

We all wish them well and for a safe and expeditious return!
