SVES Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week

SVES Teachers and Assistants enjoy a cold treat.

Sometimes simple thanks are all a teacher needs to feel valued.

Sun Valley Elementary School appreciates its teachers as the school hosts a cold ice-cream treat after school on Monday, May 23rd. Teachers were surprised to receive this cold treat after last week’s EOG testing. Teachers were able to choose the cold treat of their choice. Some received chocolate dipped ice-cream, root beer floats, and some enjoyed just plain vanilla ice-cream on a cone. Mr. McDonald (SVES Teacher Assistant) said, “This is a great way to beat the heat.” Having ice-cream when the area high was expected to reach 91 degrees was a great way to end the day and feel appreciated.
