Excelsior Award Winners

WHS’s Excelsior program was created in 2007 under the leadership of principal Brad Breedlove and The Climate for High Expectations Correlate. Excelsior is a program which allows the faculty to recognize through thoughtful, hand-written messages on Excelsior postcards sent to parents those students who have exhibited excellent work ethic and leadership within their classes. Twice a year, each department chooses one male and one female student to receive the Departmental Excelsior Award for their accomplishments. In addition, Mr. Breedlove chooses a male and a female staff member to honor for going above and beyond in his/her work. This semester’s winners are:

Row 1 – L to R – Mikayla Bellardini, Melissa Valdman, Chelsea Fogarty, Caira Samuels, Katie Pagano, Maggie Kerfonta

Row 2 – L to  R – Sarah Cardaci, Erik Lebron, Auburn Mercer, Alex Tidwell, Brad Burnam

Row 3 – L to R – Matt Smith, Erin Burnette, Adam Brown, Ms. Drew Heid (English teacher), Mr. Rick Spencer (social studies teacher)

Row 4 – L to R – Vincent DeBetta, Daniel Bayha, Michael Escoto, Jeremy Christner, Drew Goins
