The Lady Panther volleyball team is off to another great season as they are now 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the Rocky River Conference standings. The team is led by seven seniors, who have played a vital role in the team’s success thus far. Taylor Simpson, Sarah Ashley Beane, and Kaley Welsh have led the team in stats with Simpson leading in assists, Beane in kills, and Welsh in blocks. Come out and support the Lady Panthers as they pursue another Conference championship!

The 2011 Lady Panther volleyball team consists of Seniors Taylor Simpson, Sarah Ashley Beane, Kaley Welsh, Paige Montgomery, Ashlann Barbee, Lorna Duncan, and Loren Dermid. Juniors are Jaqlyn Grilli, Jennifer Cope, Shelby Mullis, and Brittani Banks, and there is one sophomore member, Holly Schuur.  In the coming weeks, the Lady Panthers will face tough Conference competition from Monroe on September 7 at 6:00 p.m. (@ Monroe HS), from North Stanly on September 12 at 5:00 p.m. (Home), and from Forest Hills on September 14 at 6:00 p.m. (Home).
When asked about the team's performance, Coach Kim Cantey replied, “We should have another strong showing in the Conference this season. The girls have stepped it up both offensively and defensively at the net. We have some good passers who are doing a great job at covering the court. We have scheduled some tough competition outside of the Conference to hopefully better prepare us for the playoffs.”
Come out and support the Lady Panthers as they embark on another successful season in 2011!
