3rd grade Family Reading Night
Third graders and their families gathered on January 27th to learn how they can support their reading skills at home. Parents made question sticks with generic questions for fiction and nonfiction books and learned about how to support their growing readers at home – even if the families themselves are language learners. Afterwards, they all had the opportunity to practice with their child with teachers available to support them.
It was great to see parents, teachers, and students get together to share information and tips that will help East’s students.
