BHESA students make a difference

A fourth-grade class at Benton Heights Elementary School of the Arts recently discovered the power of giving.

Renee Rogers' fourth-grade class thinks that young people CAN make a difference and wanted to prove it. They brought in more than 200 items for their service project called, "You Gotta Have Heart," all collected to benefit the Battered Womens' Shelter.

"I was amazed at the amount of things my class donated,” Rogers said. “My class learned that we can all do something to help others."
