Archived Stories for Union County Public Schools
Representatives from Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Communications Division (911), Monroe Fire Department, United Family Services and the Union County Public Library are coming to Rocky River during the week of March 8th. Students will be taught about stranger danger, fire safety, internet safety and how to contact 911. Each day, a new subject will be discussed and the children will be given tools to help keep themselves safe. Information will also be given to the children so that they know what they should do in an emergency situation. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk about how to address real life scenarios.
