Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Students work together to make patterns.

Dr. Seuss is a name that almost any reader, no matter how young, recognizes. Children have enjoyed his books for years and continue to enjoy them today. March 2 is Dr. Seuss' birthday. To celebrate, kindergarten students came to the media center and listened to several Dr. Seuss books. Then they used red and white stripes to make patterns. The strips represent the hat Dr. Seuss always draws on The Cat and the Hat. Students had a great time making ABAB patterns AABAAB patterns and more!
