ROTC Visits Washington, D.C.

The Piedmont Air Force Junior ROTC cadets recently went to Washington, D.C., where they visited several Smithsonian Museums and monuments, including the Vietnam Memorial, the World War II Memorial, the Air Force Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, and the Washington Monument. Of special interest to the cadets was Arlington Cemetery, where they saw The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the changing of the guard. On the way, they visited the Greenbrier Hotel and fallout shelter and had dinner at James Madison University, both in West Virginia.  On the way home, they toured the Manassas Civil War Battlefield and stayed in military facilities at Bolling Air Force Base in Virginia.
