Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
Each year the kindergarten plans a special week of events to honor the life and literary contributions of Theodor Geisel, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss. March 2nd would have been Dr. Seuss' birthday. As a grade level, the teachers wanted to do something extra special to honor the man who helped most of us learn to read. Each day of this special week had a different theme, with Dr. Seuss titles reinforcing each particular theme.
Mixed-Up Monday: For this special day each child wore mixed-up clothing; an outfit that didn't match!
Top Hat Tuesday: During class on Tuesday, the students made a top hat similar to the one worn by the Cat in the Hat.
Wacky Wednesday: On Wednesday each student wore crazy socks and shoes.
Funny Food Thursday & Character Dress Up Day: You guessed it! Green eggs and ham...on Thursday each student dressed as their favorite Dr. Seuss character. They then enjoyed a snack of green eggs and ham!
