3rd Grade Students Celebrate Black History Month
3rd Grade students celebrated Black History Month by researching famous Black Americans and creating booklets that look like the person they researched. Students did a great job going through the writing process from beginning to end. The first step of their project was to choose a person and gather research in the media center using the Internet, encyclopedias and books. After gathering information on their person, they begin the writing process. Students wrote five paragraphs about their person and then, with the help of their teacher, they edited their rough drafts. Finally, they typed their papers and printed them out. The last step of their project was to make a person book that looked like their person and inside they pasted the information about that person.
