UCPS Vertical Alignment is Highlighted at NCASCD Annual Conference
The North Carolina Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development recently held their 2010 Annual Conference at Pinehurst, and Union County Public Schools was represented by school leaders and teachers from each of the three academic levels (elementary, middle, and high schools). A highlight of the event included a breakout session led by the school system's science coordinators. Participants in the session learned of the district's collaborative efforts to align program goals, content objectives, and professional development within the K-12 instructional framework. Pictured to the right are science coordinators Ms. Amanda Sant (elementary schools), Ms. Lori Peyton (middle schools), and Ms. Kathy Glasheen (high schools).
