Odyssey of the Mind
The four teams represented Kensington well, with two of our teams scoring in the top 4 in their divisions (Nature Trail'R took fourth place, and Food Court took third place). These students and their volunteer sponsors put in countless hours to make this a wonderful experience, and they did Kensington proud!
What is Odyssey of the Mind?
As described in their website at www.ncom.org, "students who participate in the Odyssey of the Mind program acquire skills that prepare them for highstakes testing through enhanced problem-solving abilities and application of critical thinking in response to test items.Students who participate in this program learn skills that they will continue to apply in school and the real-work world including cooperative planning, teamwork, creative problem-solving, and the ability to transfer previous knowledge to new situations for innovative solutions" (quote by Marjory Moe, 2006, on above website).
