Marvin Elementary Students are Cure Finders!
We raised $3,000 to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
On March 26th the PTA sponsored an event to raise funds to "Get the Word out and Find a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis. This disease personally impacts our very own principal, Dr. Jones and his family. So we "locked him UP" in our "special jail cell"!
To get him out he needed our students to help him raise awareness and funds to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. During all lunch blocks, Dr. Jones was contained in his cell. Generous donations from our parents, businesses and our students got him out.
Thank you to all of the Marvin families who donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation this week. The kids got a real kick out of seeing Dr. Jones in "jail" during lunches Friday. Our school community really came together to make a difference.
Congratulations to Mrs. Dover's 3rd grade class for winning the donut party!!! Thank you to Cherri Strome, Leslie Smith, Suzy Hamelink and Ed Newsome for planning this very successful, fun event.
