Winner of Dr. Seuss poetry contest

Olivia D. won the Dr. Seuss poetry contest sponsored by Sylvan Learning Center!  Olivia will be featured in the Enquirer Journal, the Waxhaw Exchange and the Monroe Scoop.  She won 10 passes to Monkey Joe's.  As part of the presentation, Olivia presented a copy of a Dr. Seuss book to the Kensington Media Center on the behalf of SLC. The presentation was made by Mark King of the Waxhaw branch of SLC.

Her creative poem reads:

I love to read each and every day.
I do it before I go and play.
It doesn’t matter if it rains,
Because when I read it feeds my brain.
Red books, Yellow books, Green books are go!
I like to take books to school to show.
