Hemby Bridge Student Leads the Way to Recycle!

Shayna at her recycling center.

Shayna F. dubbed “Little Miss Green,” has a passion for making Hemby Bridge and her community a better place to live. Shayna is not afraid to voice her opinion and let her classmates (and teachers) know where their trash should go. She has single handedly turned the 5th grade and much of the 3-5 building into a small recycling center; and if you happen to see any signs around Hemby Bridge encouraging you to recycle it’s a safe bet that she hung them up. Shayna is one of those rare young people that can see “the big picture” and she knows that however small a contribution you make, it’s a step in the right direction. She is extremely motivated in making the world a cleaner and better place to live for all us, and those who will come after us. Hemby Bridge is proud to showcase Shayna as motivated young leader!
