A spring tea party

Dr. Bulla enjoys the company of some students while sipping tea.

Mrs. Roger's sixth grade Language Arts classes brought in spring with a tea party.  The tea party was the culminating activity to their study of The View From Saturday by E.L. Konigsburg.  In the book, regular Saturday tea times help build a strong friendship between four students from diverse backgrounds who go on to win an academic quiz bowl.

As our students sipped tea on the Thursday before spring break they discussed the characters and events in the book.  Dr. Bulla even stopped in to chat and although some kids had not yet acquired a taste for the unsweetened English tea, all enjoyed the time spent talking with their classmates and building their own friendships.
