Boosterthon Fun Run

On Wednesday, March 24, Weddington Elementary held its first annual Boosterthon Fun Run. All the students worked hard to gather pledges for how many laps they would be able to run around the Fun Run Speedway. These pledges will be used to enhance the use of technology at our school. We are hoping to purchase an additional mobile lab. The mobile lab contains laptop computers which can be used by each student in the classroom.

The Boosterthon Team visited each classroom every day to encourage pledges and to teach a valuable character lesson.

Students learned to STAND UP!!

S- Serve on another

T- Take time to read

A - Ask great questions

N - Never give up

D - Discover your talents

The students looked forward to the visits from the energetic and exciting Fun Run Team.

On the day of the event, we had a beautiful spring day. Weddington students ran, danced, skipped, and walked their way around the Fun Run Speedway. With music to move to, students ran 25 - 35 laps. Many parents and family members came to support our students. The students truly enjoyed the excitement of having a Boosterthon Run Fun!
