Faculty/Student Basketball Game Raises Money for Charity

The annual Faculty vs. Students basketball game was held on Friday, April 16, and students and staff raised over $3000 for charity.  Proceeds of the fundraising event will benefit the March of Dimes and the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network.  During half time, the Chic-Fil-A Cow, Artie, Piedmont Panther, and Mrs. Barbee (with the help of Mr. Gearhart) participated in a free throw competition for the annual Spirit Trophy, which was won by the Seniors!  Students also could pay $1 to add points to either team.  In the end, the student team was victorious in the game but the real winners are the two charities who will benefit from the money raised.  Way to go Piedmont!
