FHHS Interact Club Races Against Polio
The newly formed Interact Club of Forest Hills High School raised $2,085 by "renting ducks" for the Duck Race for Polio. Money raised will help eradicate polio in the four countries that have polio cases along with supporting local service projects. Historically, polio is the world's greatest cause of disability.
Davis Hollis, President of the Interact Club, decided that he wanted the new club to be part of the polio eradication effort after he attended a summmer Rotary Leadership Camp. Due to the fundraising efforts of the Interact members, which included the support of the Forest Hills faculty, the community and the Marshville Rotary Club, the money was raised in two weeks.
