4th Grade Visits the Riverbanks Zoo!

Mrs. Brucia's class visits the Riverbanks Conservation Outpost where they saw unusual and fascinating small mammals, including Rodrigues, fruit bats, golden-lion tamarins, Matschie's tree kangaroos and black-footed cats.

The 4th grade students have been studying animal behavior and body adaptations. As a culminating activity to this unit, they took a trip to Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC. This trip enabled them to observe many of the animal adaptations they have been studying.
