Snakes Alive at Wingate Elementary!

Snakes Alive visited the students of Wingate Elementary last Monday.  During the presentation, students learned information about the preservation of snakes, how to take care of them, how to tell if a snake is poisonous, as well as other pieces of information.  As they discussed snake habitats and skin patterns, students had the opportunity to hold snakes, like the milk snake and corn snake.  The highlight of the presentation was when the classes took turns holding a giant python, named Rosa.  The students enjoyed this hands-on learning experience and a special “thank you” goes out to Ron Cromer, who brought this wonderful Snakes Alive program to our school.
