Our Porter Notes Chorus Participates in Christmas Parade

Snowman Frosty accompanied the Porter Notes float and, although the weather was mild, he made it without melting.

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! Songs of the season filled the air in downtown Monroe on Sunday afternoon, November 20 as students of the Porter Ridge Porter Notes made their way down the Christmas Parade route.

Students pitched in and helped decorate a trailer with tinsel, garland, and "snow" before climbing aboard for the ride. The Porter Ridge float also featured the school's Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Katie Riedinger, and the Teacher Assistant of the Year, Mrs. Deborah McLean.

The smiling and waving students were well received by the happy crowds which lined the streets.
