FHHS Students Raise Money for Breast Cancer Awareness
When students in Mrs. Augone’s class were interested in doing a class project to give back to the community, they found a perfect match in the Susan G. Komen Foundation to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the students certainly helped a great cause.
The students spent the last three weeks in October creating collection cards and banners to rally support from faculty, staff, and students. The students then spent three days supervising a collection table during lunch to raise the money.
Recognizing the magnitude of their project, one of the students stated, “I feel good about what I have done. I worked hard and even collected money for Breast Cancer Awareness.â€
Mrs. Augone commented, “I am so proud of my boys and their accomplishments! They came together as a class for a community cause and gave 110% effort. Their hard work paid off."
Mrs. Augone and her class should be proud of what they have accomplished, and the FHHS community is a better place because of them.
