Students Learn the Importance of Balance, Weight, and Motion in Model Airplane Building!
The first grade students enjoyed a hands-on science lesson on balance, weight and motion. Mr. Ewers, an avid modeler, came to Rea View on December 12th to demonstrate the importance of balancing weight when building model airplanes to ensure they will fly. The students had the opportunity to fly some of his planes, and made comparisons between those that were balanced and those that were not. They will enjoy building their own "Delta Dart" model airplane at home, hopefully adding just enough weight to keep it balanced so it will fly!
