Nose for news!
The fourth grade students in Mrs. Pipes’ class have been learning how to become news reporters. Working as reporters has been exciting. Students have tackled many different events and subjects. Mrs. Pipes challenged students to be curious and to ask themselves, “what would I like to know more about?â€
Some students wanted to write about what they had witnessed at school. Carrying their reporter’s notebooks with hands for writing down careful notes the curious fourth graders embarked on a school tour. As they walked the halls, library, cafeteria, and playground students kept their eyes peeled to see interesting details. Many great story ideas were discovered just by being observant and curious. Between finding out that there was a new second grade teacher to behaviors of kids in the library students learned that Union Elementary has a lot of things going on!
