Introducing an International Club for Second Graders

Second graders are invited to join the first ever Rocky River International Club!  The purpose of this club is for students to learn about cultures in other parts of the world.  They will research music, art, books, food and other interesting facts from around the globe.  This will be a fun interactive club where the students get to choose the direction in which their studies take them.  We hope to blog and skype with other classrooms to learn more about their school day and activities they like to do outside of school.

International Club will meet every Monday starting on February, 20th and run through Monday, March 19th.  Club will meet in the Media Center at 2:00pm and students who attend after-school will be picked up in the gym at 2:10pm.  Club will end at 3:30pm.

Students will take all the information they have gathered and create a display to be shown at the Global Fair at Sun Valley High School on March 15th from 6-7:30pm.  Attendance at this event is a requirement of each club member.

Parent volunteers would help make this club a huge success.  If you are an approved volunteer, please consider volunteering at some of our meetings to help make this club a success.

Please look for permission slips coming home soon!  Permission slips must be returned to Mrs. Shulma in the Media Center no later than Tuesday, February 7th as space is limited!
