SPLASH Program

Shiloh welcomes our new SPLASH program!

To all parents of rising Kindergarteners: Please note that Shiloh will host the SPLASH program next year. We will be one of two schools in UCPS next year with the SPLASH program. At Shiloh, we will have one Kindergarten class that will be a Spanish immersion class. Informational flyers on this program have been placed in all Kindergarten registration packets. The SPLASH Spanish immersion Kindergarten class will have a teacher and a teacher assistant who will be provided to us through the VIF (“Visiting International Faculty”) program. Both of them will be native Spanish speakers from a Spanish-speaking country. Students will receive instruction in all content areas in Spanish throughout the day. Students in this immersion classroom will also be in a Spanish immersion class in grades 1-5. If you are interested in having your rising Kindergartener be in our SPLASH Spanish immersion class, please come to a parent informational meeting on February 23 at 6 PM at Sun Valley Elementary School. VIF representatives will be present to provide you with information about the program and to answer any questions you may have. For more information on the SPLASH program, please visit www.vifprogram.com/parents.
