Dr. Davis visits Mrs. Lamb's First Grade Class!

Mrs. Lamb’s class invited Dr. Davis, UCPS superintendent, to be a guest reader this month as they celebrated “Share the Love of Reading.” The children enjoyed listening to Dr. Davis read Rain School, a story about how important learning is in Africa, where only a few children are able to go to school. As part of our global awareness curriculum, the children talked to Dr. Davis about the differences between our school and the African schools. They also realized how alike our schools are and that it is not the building that matters, but the knowledge we take with us when we leave the school. It was a lively discussion between Dr. Davis and the children. What a wonderful experience for everyone!
