See What Is Rocking at Benton Heights

Do you remember getting up early on Saturday mornings and enjoying a bowl of cereal as you watched the cartoons on TV? One of the best parts was watching the School House Rock animated songs...You know, the cartoons that taught us math facts, grammar, history, and science in a fun way. The BHESA Drama Club is bringing these cartoons to life in their production of "School House Rock Live, Jr."

The annual production has already begun a great run of matinee performances for the school community and will present another morning performance for students from Prospect and Kensington Elementary Schools on Friday, March 30th. "It's always such a thrill to be able to share our students' talents with other elementary kids from around the county!" exclaimed Dawn Moretz, BHESA Drama Teacher. The drama club members and advisors, which include Moretz, James Wagner (music) and Christina Lohry (choreography), have been rehearsing the show since January.

As exciting as it is to perform for peers, the cast members are even more ecstatic to be presenting two evening performances for family, friends, and community members! Performances are being held on Thursday, March 29th and Friday, March 30th at 7:00 pm. General admission is $5.00 (UCPS employees and Kids 12 and under are FREE). Tickets are available at the door. We hope to see you there!!!!!
