Art and Music Show was a Huge Success
On March 27th, the PTO from Marvin Elementary sponsored the first annual art and music show. This year's theme was, "A Night of Art and Music" with a global emphasis of "Arts Around the World."
Each part of the art show had a global them from Mexican sun faces, Japanese carp kites, to Arctic snow globes. The art show included a piece from every child in the school, grades K-5. "The children and parents were thrilled to see their work all over the school and enjoyed the performance on this special night", remarked, Mrs. Peele, the art teacher.
The musical production had a global theme of songs around the world with the 3-5 grade chorus performing. "It really gave everyone a taste of culture as we all came together to support the arts", said one parent in the audience. Students and parents were also given and opportunity to visit the Scholastic book fair with a Hawaiian theme and win a raffle.
