A Day Without Shoes!

Some crazy socks and flip-flops at Porter Ridge!

Students at Porter Ridge Elementary came to school in flip-flops and crazy socks to shoe support for our shoe drive, Shoes for More Opportunity! What a wonderful way for our stuents to show how much they care about children around the world and have fun at the same time!

Students brought in new and gently used shoes to share with children around the world that need shoes. On our daily morning news broadcast, student government officers shared facts about children around the world who need shoes. Classrooms have been competing to see which homeroom could bring in the most shoes to help other children be very happy. Our students have shown how much they care for our children around the world with their donations of more than 375 pairs of shoes!
