Rocky River Recycling Contest
Rocky River held a recycling contest in April. The students were challenged to make something magnificent out of recycleable materials such as wrapping paper, toilet paper or paper towel rolls. Students showed their talents and great creativity with their projects.
Projects ranged from a tree, a shark, a rocket ship,an airplane, butterflies, and other creative pieces. In addition to the cardboard roll, students also used streamers, paint, legos, paper, and glitter on their finished projects. It is always impressive to see what students come up with each year.
The winners of the contest made a bird cage and feeder. It was very creative. They are sister and brother team, Gabriella and Sebastian Latiff. Their prizes were pens, pencils, a book on the topic of recycling, as well as a globe and atlas. The contest was sponsored by the Rocky River PTA.
Thank you to all participants.
