Mrs. Fran Toledano is chosen as a “Teacher of Excellence” for 2011-2012

We all know we have great teachers at Rea View Elementary and we are happy to announce that one of our very own has been named as one of ten ‘Teachers of Excellence’ in the Harris Teeter Together in Education contest. Second Grade Teacher Mrs. Fran Toledano was selected as a‘Teacher of Excellence’. The contest covered Harris Teeter’s entire market region including NC, VA, DE, TN, GA, FL, and DC and included teachers grades K through 12. Congratulations
Mrs. Toledano!

The Harris Teeter Together in Education Teachers of Excellence Award provides public recognition and financial rewards to 10 Teachers who are furthering excellence in education.

Nominated candidates were considered exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled teacher pre-kindergarten through grade twelve, who exhibit the following traits:

• Inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn
• Have the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues
• Play an active and useful role in the community as well as in the school
• Be poised, articulate, and possess the energy to withstand a taxing schedule
• Exceptional educational talent as evidenced by effective instructional practices and student
learning results in the classroom and school
• Exemplary educational accomplishments beyond the classroom that provide models of
excellence for the profession
• Engaging and inspiring presence that motivates and impacts students, colleagues and the
community

Both Mrs. Toledano and Rea View Elementary will be awarded $1,000! A Harris Teeter executive will present Mrs. Toledano her award and prize money on June 4th here at Rea
View Elementary, and her family will be present to celebrate this event with her. We are so proud of Mrs. Toledano!
