Going Global in Costa Rica
Mrs. Thierbach and Ms. Ryan spent 10-days in Atenas, located in Costa Rica’s Central Valley. They lived with host families to learn about local customs, speak Spanish, and eat traditional Tico food.
Their group learned about ecological and botanical practices, engaged in cultural discussions with local college students, toured local volcanoes, mountains, waterfalls, and farms, and even taught groups of first and second graders at a small school.
Mrs. Thierbach and Ms. Ryan look forward to sharing their experience with Porter Ridge this year, as we continue to grow as a global school.
