CATA's First Freshman Orientation
Surely, we can all look back and remember our first day of high school; a brand new building, strange faces, intimidating teachers. This year Central Academy’s Freshman Orientation helped alleviate some of those new school jitters.
Over a span of two days, freshmen came to their new high school to acclimate themselves to the place they will spend the majority of their next four years.
Teachers and current students enthusiastically greeted the freshmen while showing them around the building. These lucky freshmen participated in a scavenger hunt allowing them to seek out their classrooms and find important places such as the media center, the gym and most importantly, the cafeteria.
National Honor Society students enlightened everyone by providing a Freshman Success Seminar that gave valuable information on how to be a successful student. After making t-shirts and checking out the clubs and sports CATA has to offer, freshmen were treated to pizza and soda in the cafeteria where they were able to spend quality time getting to know each other. It was a wonderful two days for our new freshmen.
