Mrs. McClain's class has the whole world in their hands!
Mrs. McClain’s class has been thinking of special places they would like to visit…if they could go ANYWHERE in the world! After meeting on the carpet and discussing various places throughout the world, students chose one place that they would like to visit. Then, students brainstormed and wrote reasons for their choices.
The students selected thoughtful destinations and provided detailed reasoning for their selections. Mark, Adrian, and Berenise chose Mexico because they wanted to visit family! Natasha was excited about eating pizza in Italy! Lily selected the Bahamas to enable her to see the beauty of the islands! Mrs. McClain was totally amazed that Alex was determined to visit the “Big Wall” in China!! Cameron wanted to view the “night time flash” of the Twin Towers in New York! Xiomara and Susanna preferred to visit Japan to see the dance show “Shake It Up,” which was being filmed in Japan! Katelynn shared information about hearing the “Children of the World” choir sing at her church. Her family served as a host family for two children from the Philippines. Katelynn was extremely interested in visiting the Philippines to spend more time with her new friends!
The class recorded their destinations on a table, and the class created a graph detailing the class choices. The students discovered that Mexico was the most popular place their classmates wanted to visit. Japan placed second! The class chose eleven different destinations.
OH, THE PLACES THEY WILL GO… The adventures have only just begun!!
