While teaching the science unit, The Human Body, students in Mrs. Reich's third grade class had the opportunity to get their hands dirty. They were given the opportunity to decompose an owl pellet. They were amazed to find small rodent bones inside.
The investigation led them to discover the similarities and differences between animal and human bones. This investigation is part of the Human Body Unit where they learn how different parts of the body are essential for life.
