Mavericks Celebration of Life Wall is Building

Mavericks Build a Celebration of Life Wall for Crush Cancer Week

Mavericks supported the race to find a cure for cancer during Crush Cancer Week. Students have supported the cause by wearing pink wristbands and had a pink-out at the Friday night football game that week - with orange accents of course! The students began to build a Celebration of Life Wall mid-week to celebrate the lives of those that have been touched by any type of cancer.

Students completed paper bricks with the name of the person that survived, was affected by, or lost their battle with cancer. During lunches students added the bricks to the wall. This continued at the Maverick soccer game to allow community members to add to the wall. The wall was then moved back inside to allow more students and staff to add bricks.

The final destination of the Celebration of Life Wall was the Varsity Football game Friday night where the entire Marvin Ridge community added to the wall.
