College Representatives Help Students

Pictured are students who participated in the ECU college presentation by Brittany Privott.

Brittany Privott, an admissions representative from East Carolina University, met with interested college-bound juniors and seniors on September 20 to kick off the season of presentations that will be occurring by many colleges at Piedmont throughout the year.

Admissions representatives visit high schools to meet with students and give them valuable information about their respective campuses to help guide college application decisions. Seniors who attended the presentation by Ms. Privott all commented on how beneficial the information was and how it will help guide their decision about whether to apply to ECU. As Kebrry Halle stated, “I never really considered ECU until today. ECU has a wonderful campus and it’s very diverse. I am definitely applying soon.”

Several other students in attendance had positive reflections on the ECU presentation. Elizabeth Brewer commented, “I love ECU and the way she sold it to us really convinced me of how great this school is!” In addition, Rachel Kiker stated, “The ECU presentation totally changed my mind about applying to this college. I can’t wait to apply!”

Upcoming visits by college representatives include: Tuesday, September 25 - 8:30 – Davidson; Tuesday, September 25 - 9:30 – Brevard; Wednesday, September 26 - 1:45 - NC State College of Education; Tuesday, October 2 - 1:45 - UNCC/Levine Scholar. Juniors and seniors interested in meeting with a college representative during a scheduled visit should sign up with Mrs. Cooper in guidance.
