SPLASH Immersion Program Wins an Award!
Our Splash Language Immersion Program Schools Win Howard N. Lee Institute 2012 Champions of Equity and Opportunity in Education Award!
Congratulations to our students, teachers, parents, and community involved in our Splash language immersion program! It is one of a network of 21 Splash program schools across the state selected for a 2012 Champions of Equity and Opportunity in Education Award! We are being recognized and celebrated for great achievement, diversity and providing innovative opportunities that help our state - and you are an integral part of that.
We are very proud of the incredible commitment that our administrators, teachers, students, parents and community have demonstrated to achieve incredible results. VIF International Education - our partner in making learning global with the Splash program and the team that nominated us for the award - shared that the network of schools has gained 22% higher reading and 95% proficiency in math across the state, in all types of schools and situations!
We know we all work hard to help all of our kids -- it's especially nice when others "catch us doing well." Kudos to our award winning program!
