The Tarradiddle Players
The Tarradiddle Players are a four person troupe of performers who travel from Virginia to South Carolina visiting schools and other venues. Plays are performed for children who would not otherwise have the experience of live theater. The Tarradiddle Players from the Children's Theatre Company in Charlotte, came to Rock Rest to perform this hilarious rock musical, "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs," adapted from the book by Jon Scieszka. The Players turned the gymnasium into a court room, judge, pigs and of course the Big Bad Wolf as they put on a musical trial for the wolf.
Rock Rest's second graders were encouraged to participate and be the jury in the show. Students had to decide based on the evidence from the pig and the wolf told during the trial if the Big Bad Wolf was telling the truth or not. It was there decision to let the wolf go free or stay locked up for his crimes!
The students were glued to their seats watching and listening throughout the play. Everyone in the audience enjoyed the program and we are looking forward to another great performance from the "Tarradiddle Players."
