Hello Mr. Mayor!
Gimme an M! Gimme an A! Gimme a Y! Gimme an O! Gimme an R! It's the mayor!
On broadcast, the Indian Trail mayor came. The mayor entered the room and cameras were flashing! They started with the bottom grade level asking questions. Some kids had one question to ask him and some had more. The questions were referring to what he does in the day and what other responsibilities he has. He has great responsibilities!
He told us that Indian Trail is getting bigger. It has a population of 36,000 people. He has two jobs, mayor and banker. He talked about some goals he set, like making Indian Trail a better community. You have to go through elections to be mayor, just like the president. When there's a vote and there's a tie, he's the tie breaker. He goes to meetings to plan stuff out and put new things in the community. And then they wrapped it up.
When broadcast was over, the kids that asked him questions lined up next to him and then they took some pictures. Meeting the mayor was a great experience!
