Going Global in Third Grade
Brooke Adams and Carter Chmielowiec, students in Mrs. Mansell’s third grade, show off their global projects, representing traditional attire from Poland and Morocco.
Carter traveled to Poland over the summer and met some of his relatives for the first time. He witnessed family members working on their farm. Brooke’s mom has traveled to Morocco and upon her return shared some of her experiences with her daughter.
The third grade students in the class each created a paper model representing traditional clothing from a country, some of which the students had a direct connection. Some countries represented were Egypt, Spain, India, Columbia, Mexico, and Japan.
