Think Pink, Parkwood, On October 12th!

When asked to show how they have been affected by cancer, students like senior Arielle Loftis wrote the names of family members, friends, neighbors and teachers.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in order to support the cause, the Parkwood High School Student Council is hosting a Pink Out! Day on Friday, October 12. All students, staff, and community members are invited to wear pink that day to show their support.

In addition, the Parkwood football team hosts Sun Valley at 7:30 p.m., and all fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game.

The Parkwood community supports those who have been affected by all forms of cancer, not just breast cancer. But this Friday, we’re wearing pink to support our teachers, students, families, and friends who have battled and survived this particular disease. We’re wearing pink because we care.
