Design Challenge at WHS
Ever think you might like to be a fashion designer? If you answered yes to that question you should consider taking Ms. Sandra Leggett’s Apparel Development Class. One of the many fun and interesting projects that make up this class is the Design Challenge. Future fashion design stars were paired up and given just 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 role of scotch tape and a 14 inch piece of yarn with which to work. The challenge was to design a dress incorporating the elements and principles of design. The finished products were judged by a panel of teachers and administrators including Dr. Dunlap, Ms. Anne Lee, Mr. Brent Hill, Mr. Scott Shuler and Ms. Nancy Pate. The panel was amazed by the work of the students. First prize was awarded to Emily Gerhardt and Sarah Hernandez.
