Students Participate in Mentorship Day at Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in Monroe
Two students from Monroe High School were chosen to participate in the local Olive Garden Restaurant’s annual Disability Mentoring Day (DMD). Olive Garden is a national supporter of the program which is sponsored by the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD). The program is a national career development effort for students and job seekers with disabilities.
On Tuesday, October 23, 2012, students had the opportunity to learn about the different positions in the restaurant and also had a dining experience at Olive Garden. This was certainly a day that the students will talk about for a lifetime!
*Special thanks to NC Vocational Rehabilitation Monroe office for their partnership in the success of this event.
