Fourth and Fifth Grade Football Team Wins Championship

Congratulations to the fourth and fifth grade Cavalier Football Team on winning the
championship in their division of the Carolina Midget Football Conference. The
team earned an 8-0 record for the season. It beat the Piedmont Panthers in the
championship game 22 to 6.

The team consisted of students from the three elementary schools in the Cuthbertson cluster--Kensington, New Town, and Waxhaw. The team was coached by Sean Maher, who led last year's team to the Championship game as well. Assistant coaches included Justin Newton, Jason Mock, Mike Seaman, Brian Bernard, Vince Frattaroli, Bryan Blumanhourst, Jack Hargett, and Dom DePaola.

Team players were Evan Bernard, Charles Blumanhourst, Robert “Austin” Burns, Jackson Cheek, Jadus Davis, Dominick DePaola, Samitrius Drakeford, Vincent Frattaroli, Dylan Gallagher, Reid Garcelon, Eric Gibson, Matthew Gibson, Connor Hargett, Ethan Head, Christian Herrera, Kyle Knox, Cade Kuehler, Colby Lyon, Dawson Maher, Blake Mettler, Alec Mock, Matthew Moore, Colton Offerdahl, Kegan Paciolla, Alex Patel, TJ Reardon, Noah Schiefelbein, Tyler Seaman, Jonathan Taylor and Sam Weaver. Way to go, Cavaliers!
