Marvin Elementary Recognized

I want you all to know that I was extremely proud of this staff at my district-wide principals’ meeting on Thursday. Each year, our school system recognizes schools from each cluster for exemplary participation in the annual United Way campaign. The three following recognitions are given for each cluster of schools: Highest Per Capita Giving Rate, Highest Participation Percentage, and Biggest Improvement in Participation from Previous Year.

In my four years as principal, I have never witnessed a school receiving all three awards. Well, guess what!? Marvin Elementary has taken home all three this year. Wow! I am so proud of this staff and the attitude of giving and generosity that you’ve displayed through this effort.

I’d like to provide a special recognition to Ceanna Plyler, who served as our campaign coordinator. Ceanna, true leadership cultivates results. You’ve been a genuine leader in this role. Thank you all for truly impacting our community through this effort. Check out the new plaques which are now located in the display case in the front lobby.
