Rea View Students Vote

On Friday, November 2, students at Rea View took part in a school-wide Kids Voting event. This process was organized by two Rea View parents, Caroline O'Mara and Gwen Zuendel, with other parent volunteers involved as well. Students in all grade levels cast a vote for president, and students in grades 3, 4, and 5 also cast a vote in the on-line system for NC governor. Students had a chance to learn more about the candidates, the importance of showing civic responsibility by voting, what it means to have a democracy, and more. Students displayed enthusiasm and careful thought in the process of casting their ballot! On Wednesday, November 7, Rea View results will be released and we will be able to compare them to the actual election results in our state and nation.
